Overall pleased. Time will tell regarding longevity. Be advised, the Fast Box is picky on 9v battery voltage. I put in a battery that was 9.1v and would not unlock. Swapped for 9.4v battery and it unlocked without issue (directions state to use new 9v – I would have thought a 9.1v would unlocked it without issue, though). I like how it can also be powers via USB. I would suggest including padding for firearm as standard item for Fast Box (I’m currently using folded bath towels as I have Fast Box horizontally positioned) but, again, otherwise overall pleased thus far.
The gun safe arrived well-packaged,in tact, and sooner than expected. The metal structure of the safe seems solid. The safe does seem to struggle some in the locking mechanism. It doesn’t “hold” or remember for long the biometric fingerprints stored in it. I have stored multiple fingerprints (several times) and they work for a day or two and then are no longer recognized. Also, the key lock is fairly cheap. The keys are rather thin and don’t seem substantial. The numeric portion of the keypad seems to work great so far and is most likely the method I will use to open the safe rather than the fingerprint pad. The unreliable biometric sensor takes away from the “speed” of opening which seems to be the name-sake for the safe (“Fastbox”).
