The Answer 12 Hunter and Sport Shooter models were created by our CEO, Tom Kubiniec, as a personal project. Tom is an avid hunter of waterfowl and big game and also enjoys long-range precision shooting. After configuring a few Answer safes to meet his needs, he realized that many could benefit from his experience. - Advanced Keypad Design: The six-button keypad includes a capacitive fingerprint scanner for fast access via the code (up to 3 codes, 3-12 digits each) or your fingerprint (holds up to 30 unique fingerprints). Also includes 2 Override Keys.
- Function Options: The keypad can be programmed to turn off the backlight, sound, and even the biometric function should you choose.
- Low Battery Warning: A light on the keypad will flash when the battery is low.
- External Power Option: The keypad can be powered through the USB-C power port on the bottom of the keypad.

Can the Answer™ safes be placed on a wooden floor without reinforcement?
Yes, the safe can be placed on wood floors anywhere in your home.
Is there a reason for a double door safe?
Yes! The double doors are very compact and allow you to place the safe in a closet or other discrete location. Answer™ Gun Safes are also shallower than traditional old-fashioned safes. We design all our products to provide straight-line access to all rifles. This means all guns are stored in one row. You never have to dig through your guns to get to the one you want. You can open the safe, remove a rifle with one hand then close it without ever having to set the gun down.
How does this redesigned keypad differ from the previous Answer™ keypad?
We’ve designed this new lock set with security, convenience, and fast access in mind. The new keypad features 6 large buttons with tactile references, a capacitive biometric fingerprint scanner, and a USB-C power port. The previous keypad could only register two access code of 6 digits, however the new keypad can register up to three access codes between 3 to 12 digits and up to 30 fingerprints. The new backlit keypad features sound cues, however you can disable sound or the backlight if desired. Previous versions of Answer™ cabinets did not have back up key access, however the new version includes a key override with two back up keys.
Can the doors be removed?
This is a fully-welded gun safe and the doors should not be removed. Removal of the doors will void the warranty for this product.
