The Gun Safe Upgrade Kit 2 transforms your traditional gun safe into a versatile, modular storage solution with SecureIt’s patented CradleGrid™ Technology. This kit includes 16 grid panels, 8 cradles, 4 stock base units, and all necessary hardware, offering secure storage for up to 8 long guns. With additional accessories (sold separately), you can customize it to store handguns, magazines, ammo, and gear to suit your needs.

Installation is straightforward, with detailed instructions for removing old safe interiors, measuring and cutting plywood backing, and mounting the kit. Most installations take just a few hours, and a video tutorial, “How to Upgrade Your Gun Safe,” guides you through the process.

Plywood and Tools

The kit is designed for 1/2″ plywood (not included). You can cut it yourself or have it cut at hardware stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s, often at no cost. Plywood thicknesses from 1/2″ to 3/4″ are compatible. We recommend painting the plywood primer gray or flat black (paint not included).
