There was no 4.5 rating. I use to secure a ready AR and two pistols. So without the mounting issues, mostly self-inflicted, I would have given it a 5.
No problems with setting the combo, none at all.
Mounting upright might be a challenge, for me standing the 47 upright, it was still too low, I didn’t want to have to bend down to see or retrieve, so I build a 10″ stand for it to sit on (anchored stand to floor, 47 to stand). Perfect height now.
Design: needs to have a pre-drilled hole in the center of the back plate, better to anchor to stud when standing upright. I used the bed mount holes on the side to anchor to stud via an L bracket. Hey it works.
Advice: I would buy again, note you can actually fit another small or medium bin based on the length of your long guns. I purchased two pistol mounts beside the AR, I can reach in and grab either (in the dark).
